     John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree was born on 5 September 1836.¹ He was the son of Reverend Michael Maxwell-Heron and Charlotte Frances Burgoyne.² He married Margaret Salter Stancomb, daughter of William Stancomb and Bridget Downing Bowles Hare, on 12 November 1868.¹ He died on 26 January 1899 at age 62.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Royal Scots.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kirkcudbrightshire in 1880.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Mary Powle is the daughter of Thomas Powle.¹ She married Sir Francis Cheyney, son of John Cheyney and Winifred Mordaunt.¹
     Her married name became Cheyney.¹

     Margaret Salter Stancomb was born in 1844 at Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Stancomb and Bridget Downing Bowles Hare.¹ She married John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree, son of Reverend Michael Maxwell-Heron and Charlotte Frances Burgoyne, on 12 November 1868.² She died on 6 September 1925.²
     She was also known as Marguerita Stancomb.² From 12 November 1868, her married name became Maxwell-Heron.

     Lt.-Col. Guy Heron Maxwell-Heron was born on 8 June 1871.¹ He was the son of John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree and Margaret Salter Stancomb.² He married, firstly, Hilda Parker, daughter of G. F. Parker, on 24 January 1922.¹ He married, secondly, Dorothea Rose Harrison, daughter of Albert Henry Harrison, on 25 April 1928.¹ He died on 29 January 1944 at age 72, without issue.¹
     He fought in the Boer War.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, South Wales Borderers.¹

     G. F. Parker was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹

     Hilda Parker was the daughter of G. F. Parker.² She married Lt.-Col. Guy Heron Maxwell-Heron, son of John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree and Margaret Salter Stancomb, on 24 January 1922.¹ She died on 10 August 1924.¹
     From 24 January 1922, her married name became Maxwell-Heron.¹

     Basil Charles Montague Maxwell-Heron was born on 18 June 1878.¹ He was the son of John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree and Margaret Salter Stancomb.² He married Mary O’Byrne, daughter of Garrett O’Byrne, in 1905.¹ He died in 1916.¹
     He fought in the Boer War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Scottish Rifles.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Mary O’Byrne was the daughter of Garrett O’Byrne.² She married Basil Charles Montague Maxwell-Heron, son of John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree and Margaret Salter Stancomb, in 1905.¹ She died on 6 February 1957.¹
     From 1905, her married name became Maxwell-Heron.

     Guy John Ewen Maxwell-Heron was born in 1905.¹ He was the son of Basil Charles Montague Maxwell-Heron and Mary O’Byrne.² He married, firstly, Vera Ismay Pereira, daughter of J. N. Pereira, on 21 July 1928.¹ He and Vera Ismay Pereira were divorced in 1957.¹ He married, secondly, Moria Kathleen Brown, daughter of Charles Clover Brown, in 1957.¹ He died on 22 February 1968, without issue.¹
