     Venerable Ernest Austen Hammick was born on 3 January 1850.¹ He was the son of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander.² He married Mary Elizabeth Amy Rymer, daughter of John Rymer, on 28 September 1897.¹ He died on 2 September 1920 at age 70.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Amy Rymer is the daughter of John Rymer.² She married, firstly, Very Rev. William Henry Fleury Popham in 1876 at St. Saviour’s, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa.^1,2 She married, secondly, Venerable Ernest Austen Hammick, son of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander, on 28 September 1897.¹
     From 1876, her married name became Popham.¹ From 28 September 1897, her married name became Hammick.

     John Eustace Hammick was born on 4 November 1852.¹ He was the son of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander.² He died in 1943, unmarried.¹

     Sir Murray Hammick was born on 11 May 1854.¹ He was the son of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander.² He married Ada Constance Searle, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Thaddeus Searle and Lucy Helen Byne, on 11 December 1883.¹ He died on 4 March 1936 at age 81.¹
     He was in the Indian Civil Service between 1876 and 1913.¹ He was Inspector-General, Madras Police in 1894.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1901.¹ He was Chief Secretary of the Madras Government in 1906.¹ He was member of the Executive Council, Madras between 1908 and 1912.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1911.¹ He held the office of Governor of Madras in 1912.¹ He held the office of member of the Council of the Secretary of State, India
between 1915 and 1922.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Arthur Thaddeus Searle was born on 29 December 1830 at Bloomsbury, London, England.² He married Lucy Helen Byne on 12 June 1860 at Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, England.² He died on 15 August 1925 at age 94 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.²
     He was with the Indian Civil Service.¹

     Ada Constance Searle was born on 26 October 1863 at Secunderabad, Madras, India.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Thaddeus Searle and Lucy Helen Byne.^3,2 She married Sir Murray Hammick, son of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander, on 11 December 1883.¹ She died on 3 February 1950 at age 86.¹
     From 11 December 1883, her married name became Hammick.

     Major Henry Alexander Hammick was born in 1890.¹ He was the son of Sir Murray Hammick and Ada Constance Searle.² He married Mabel Emily Pilditch, daughter of Sir Philip Edward Pilditch, 1st Bt. and Emily Mary Lewis, on 8 January 1919.² He died on 6 August 1968.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 6th Battalion, Manchester Regiment.¹ He was Chief Engineer for Iraq Petroleum.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.¹
