     Thierry II, Comte de Lorraine was born in 1060.2 He was the son of Gerard, Duc de Lorraine and Hedwig de Nemours.1,3 He married, firstly, Hedwig of Formbach in 1075.3 He married, secondly, Gertrude van Vlaanderen, daughter of Robrecht I ‘de Fries’ Graaf van Vlaanderen Comte d’Artois and Gertrud Billung von Sachsen, on 15 August 1095 at Han-sur-Lesse, belgium.2 He died on 23 January 1115.1,2
     He succeeded as the Comte de Lorraine in 1070.1

     Gertrude van Vlaanderen was born in 1063.2 She was the daughter of Robrecht I ‘de Fries’ Graaf van Vlaanderen Comte d’Artois and Gertrud Billung von Sachsen.1 She married, firstly, Hendrik III Graaf van Louvain, son of Henri II, Comte de Louvain and Adèle de Bettau, in 1080.2 She married, secondly, Thierry II, Comte de Lorraine, son of Gerard, Duc de Lorraine and Hedwig de Nemours, on 15 August 1095 at Han-sur-Lesse, belgium.2 She died on 30 July 1115.2

     Henriette Gabriele de Lorraine-Brionne was born in 1724. She was the daughter of Louis II de Lorraine-Brionne, Prince de Lambesc and Jeanne Henriette de Durfort. She married Jacques de Cadaval in 1739. She died in 1761.
     Her married name became de Cadaval.

     He gained the title of Duc de Lorraine.1
