     He was educated.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 61st (South Lancashire) Searchlight Regiment, Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹

     Emily Goodall married Robin Arthur Norman Gamble, son of John Arthur Gamble and Lilian Jane Emily Cole, on 7 September 1939.¹ She died on 27 March 1944.¹
     Emily Goodall also went by the nick-name of Cissie. From 7 September 1939, her married name became Gamble.

     Elaine Lilian Gamble was born on 30 May 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Robin Arthur Norman Gamble and Emily Goodall.² She married Malcolm Charles Gubbins in 1970.¹
     From 1970, her married name became Gubbins. She lived in 2003 at Heathside, Jackmans Lane, St. John’s, Woking, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Malcolm Charles Gubbins married Elaine Lilian Gamble, daughter of Robin Arthur Norman Gamble and Emily Goodall, in 1970.¹ He died in 1987.¹

     Fiona Gubbins was born in 1981.¹ She is the daughter of Malcolm Charles Gubbins and Elaine Lilian Gamble.²

     Olga Evelyn Gamble was born on 23 January 1944.¹ She is the daughter of Robin Arthur Norman Gamble and Emily Goodall.² She married, firstly, Sir David Arthur Josias Gamble, 4th Bt., son of Sir David Gamble, 3rd Bt. and Eveline Frances Josephine Cole, on 9 December 1965.¹ She married, secondly, Anthony Poole, son of Frank Poole, in 1989.¹
     From 1989, her married name became Poole.¹ She lived in 2003 at Wood End, Tregony, Truro, Cornwall, England^G.²

     Eveline Frances Josephine Cole was the daughter of Reverend Arthur R. Cole.² She married Sir David Gamble, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Josias Christopher Gamble, 2nd Bt. and Isabella Sanderson, on 23 April 1903.¹ She died on 28 March 1952.¹
     From 23 April 1903, her married name became Gamble.

     Sir David Arthur Josias Gamble, 4th Bt. was born on 9 December 1907.¹ He was the son of Sir David Gamble, 3rd Bt. and Eveline Frances Josephine Cole.² He married, firstly, Elinor Mary Cole, daughter of Henry Edward Cole, on 9 April 1932.¹ He married, secondly, Olga Evelyn Gamble, daughter of Robin Arthur Norman Gamble and Emily Goodall, on 9 December 1965.² He died in 1982.¹
     He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Gamble, of Windlehurst, St. Helens, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1897] on 17 July 1943.¹ He graduated from Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1946 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Political Service, North Province, Nigeria.¹ He was Chairman of the Cirencester Rural District Council in 1958.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹
