Sir David Gamble, 3rd Bt. was born on 1 May 1876.1 He was the son of Sir Josias Christopher Gamble, 2nd Bt. and Isabella Sanderson.2 He married Eveline Frances Josephine Cole, daughter of Reverend Arthur R. Cole, on 23 April 1903.1 He died on 17 July 1943 at age 67.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gamble, of Windlehurst, St. Helens, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1897] on 24 September 1908.1 He held the office of Mayor of St. Helens between 1913 and 1915.1
