Sir William Johnston of Caskieben, 7th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Johnston, of Caskieben [N.S., 1626] on 19 March 1794.2 He fought against the French on the Malabar coast India.2 In 1798 he raised a regiment of fencible infantry ‘The Prince of Wales’s Own’ (disbanded 1802.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Windsor between 1801 and 1802.2 He was insolvent and lived in the grounds of Holyrood Abbey.2 He lived at Hilton, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1
