     James Quarles was born in 1557.² He was the son of Sir Francis Quarles and Bridget Brampton.² He married Joanne Dalton circa 1577.² He died on 25 September 1599.² He was buried on 4 October 1599.³

     Sir Robert Quarles was born on 12 May 1581.² He was the son of James Quarles and Joanne Dalton.^1,3 He married, firstly, Hester Lewknor, daughter of Sir Edward Lewknor and Susan Heigham, on 2 September 1601.² He married, secondly, Anne Brewster, daughter of William Brewster, on 8 April 1614.² He married, thirdly, Mary Parvish, daughter of Henry Parvish, on 6 May 1617.² He died circa 31 January 1639.² He was buried on 2 February 1638/39.²
     He was appointed Knight in 1608.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Colchester in 1626.²

     Anna Parvis was the daughter of Henry Parvis.¹ She married Sir John Dryden, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Erasmus Dryden, 1st Bt. and Frances Wilkes.¹ She died on 20 February 1630/31.¹
     Her married name became Dryden.¹

     Henry Parvis lived at Rockholts, Essex, England^G.¹

     Honor Bevill is the daughter of Sir Robert Bevill.¹ She married Sir John Dryden, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Erasmus Dryden, 1st Bt. and Frances Wilkes, on 3 July 1632.¹
     From 3 July 1632, her married name became Dryden.¹

     Sir Robert Bevill lived at Chesterton, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     unknown daughter Dryden was the daughter of Sir John Dryden, 2nd Bt. and Priscilla Quarles.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Elizabeth Rooper was the daughter of John Rooper.¹ She married Sir John Dryden, 7th Bt., son of Edward Dryden and Elizabeth Allen, on 22 September 1726.¹ She died on 7 May 1791.¹
     From 22 September 1726, her married name became Dryden.¹
