     Charles Dryden was born in 1666.¹ He was the son of John Dryden and Lady Elizabeth Howard.² He died on 20 October 1704 at Datchet, Buckinghamshire, England^G, drowned in the Thames.² He was buried at Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.²
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He was Chamberlain to HH Pope Innocent XII.¹

     John Dryden was the son of John Dryden and Lady Elizabeth Howard.² He died on 28 January 1701, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England^G.² He was a poet.² He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held an appointment at the Papal court.¹

     Sir Erasmus Henry Dryden, 5th Bt. was born on 2 May 1669.¹ He was the son of John Dryden and Lady Elizabeth Howard.² He died circa December 1710.² He was buried on 14 December 1710 at Canons Ashby, Northamptonshire, England^G.²
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was a Roman Catholic priest.² He was the Sub-prior at Convent of the Holy Cross, Bournheim, Rome, Italy^G.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [E., 1619] circa May 1710.¹

     Sir Erasmus Dryden, 6th Bt. was the son of Erasmus Dryden and Mary Pickering.² He married Elizabeth Martyn, daughter of Edward Martyn, on 27 August 1667.¹ He died on 3 November 1718.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [E., 1619] circa December 1710.¹ He also had two daughters.²

     Edward Martyn lived at Westminster, London, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Martyn is the daughter of Edward Martyn.² She married Sir Erasmus Dryden, 6th Bt., son of Erasmus Dryden and Mary Pickering, on 27 August 1667.¹
     From 27 August 1667, her married name became Dryden.

     Edward Dryden was the son of Sir Erasmus Dryden, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Martyn.² He married Elizabeth Allen, daughter of Edward Allen.¹ He died in November 1717.¹

     Edward Allen is the son of Sir Thomas Allen.²
     He lived at Finchley, London, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Allen is the daughter of Edward Allen.² She married Edward Dryden, son of Sir Erasmus Dryden, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Martyn.¹
     Her married name became Dryden.
