     Louisa Balfour was born in 1718.1 She was the daughter of James Balfour, 1st of Pilrig and Louisa Hamilton.1 She married Robert Whytt in 1743.1 She died in 1764.1
     Louisa Balfour also went by the nick-name of ‘White Rose of Pilrig’.1 From 1743, her married name became Whytt.1
