     John Richard Palliser was born on 28 March 1835.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Bury Palliser and Julia Phillida Howe.² He died on 29 August 1860 at age 25 at Tientsin, China^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Royal Regiment.¹ He fought in the China War in 1860, including taking of Taku Forts.¹

     Thomas Durie was born circa 1748.¹ He was the son of George Durie of Craigluscar and Elizabeth Thompson.¹

     Maria Victoria Josephine Gubbins was the daughter of Joseph Gubbins.² She married Wray Bury Palliser, son of Reverend John Bury Palliser and Julia Phillida Howe, in March 1861.¹ She died on 10 January 1896.¹
     From March 1861, her married name became Palliser.

     Alice Grace Palliser was born on 12 April 1863.¹ She was the daughter of Wray Bury Palliser and Maria Victoria Josephine Gubbins.² She died on 14 October 1878 at age 15.¹

     Elizabeth Brudenell is the daughter of Sir Thomas Brudenell.¹ She married Rice Griffin, son of Thomas Griffin and Jane Newton.¹
     Her married name became Griffin.¹

     Major Harold Bessemer Galloway was the son of Charles John Galloway.² He married Mary Jane Sybil Palliser, daughter of Sir William Palliser and Anne Perham, on 3 November 1908.¹ He died on 25 September 1915 at Loos, France^G, killed in action.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Blervie, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     John Tawyer is the son of John Tawyer and Margaret Randes.¹
     He lived at Raunds, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     John Tawyer married Margaret Randes, daughter of Thomas Randes.¹

     Margaret Randes is the daughter of Thomas Randes.¹ She married John Tawyer.¹
     Her married name became Tawyer.¹
