     Ellen Franks was born on 14 November 1814 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² She was the daughter of Matthew Franks and Mary Fergusson.³ She married Josiah Smyly, son of John George Smyly and Belissa Crampton, on 16 July 1834 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ She died on 16 May 1901 at age 86 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.²
     From 16 July 1834, her married name became Smyly.¹

     Josiah Smyly was born on 10 September 1803.² He was the son of John George Smyly and Belissa Crampton.¹ He married Ellen Franks, daughter of Matthew Franks and Mary Fergusson, on 16 July 1834 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He died on 19 January 1864 at age 60 at Dublin South, County Dublin, Ireland.¹
     He lived at Merrion Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Thomas Cuthbert Kearney lived at Mountfieldstown, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Garretstown, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary Anne Cuthbert Kearney was the daughter of Thomas Cuthbert Kearney.² She married Thomas Franks, son of Matthew Franks and Mary Fergusson, on 17 October 1834.¹ She died on 9 November 1900.¹
     From 17 October 1834, her married name became Franks.

     Matthew Henry Franks was born on 31 May 1835.² He was the son of Thomas Franks and Mary Anne Cuthbert Kearney.² He married Gertrude Priscilla Despard, daughter of Captain George Despard, on 9 January 1869.² He died on 24 October 1924 at age 89.²

     Thomas Cuthbert Franks was born on 29 January 1839.¹ He was the son of Thomas Franks and Mary Anne Cuthbert Kearney.² He married, firstly, Isabella Mary La Touche, daughter of William Digges La Touche, on 24 October 1876.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Stephens, daughter of Henry Colclough Stephens, on 18 August 1908.¹ He died in 1923.¹

     William Digges La Touche was born in 1811.² He was the son of James Digges La Touche and Isabella Cotter.² He died in 1882.²
