     Gertrude Priscilla Despard was the daughter of Captain George Despard.2 She married Matthew Henry Franks, son of Thomas Franks and Mary Anne Cuthbert Kearney, on 9 January 1869.1 She died on 25 August 1911.1
     From 9 January 1869, her married name became Franks.

     Matthew Henry Franks was born on 17 July 1871.1 He was the son of Matthew Henry Franks and Gertrude Priscilla Despard.2 He married Sarah Gardner, daughter of Sir Robert Gardner and Sarah Dale, on 2 October 1895.2 He died on 22 September 1942 at age 71.1
     He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Queen’s County.1 He lived at Woodbrook, Mountrath, County Laois, IrelandG.1 He lived at Westfield, County Laois, IrelandG.2
