He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Kenmare [I., 1689] on 26 April 1720, de jure.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Browne, of Mohaliffe, co. Kerry [I., 1622] on 26 April 1720.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Castlerosse [I., 1689] on 26 April 1720, de jure.2 He recovered the possession of the forfeited family estates.3

Ellen Morres was born in 1703.2 She was the daughter of Nicholas Morres.1 She married Walter Butler, 16th Earl of Ormonde, son of John Butler and Frances Butler, on 19 December 1732.1 She died on 31 December 1793.1

He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Gowran between 1776 and 1783.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kilkenny between 1783 and 1791.1 He succeeded as the 11th Earl of Ossory [I., 1528] on 2 June 1783.1 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Thurles [I., 1536] on 2 June 1783.1 He succeeded as the 17th Earl of Ormonde [I., 1328] on 2 June 1783.1 In 1791 his titles were recognised in the Irish House of Lords.1
