     He was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, County Antrim, IrelandG.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Londonderry in 1970.5 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Londonderry in 1971.5 He lived in 1976 at Templeard, Culmore, County Londonderry, IrelandG.1
