Hume Babington1 

Hume Babington was born on 15 July 1848 at Cork, County Cork, Ireland.2 He was the son of Reverend Hume Babington and Esther Nettles.2 He married Hester Watt, daughter of Samuel Watt and Jane Newman, on 3 October 1873.3 He died on 6 June 1925 at age 76.2
He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Ballinahone, County Armagh, Ireland.2 He lived at Creevagh House, County Londonderry, Ireland.2

Ruth Babington was born on 24 October 1912.3 She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Anthony Brutus Babington and Ethel Vaughan Hart.1,2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Hume Riversdale Jones, son of Hume Riversdale Jones and Elizabeth Anne Phibbs, on 5 December 1936.1,3 She married, secondly, Thomas Fitzpatrick Cooke, son of Thomas Fitzpatrick Cooke and Aileen Frances Babington, on 3 July 1946.1 She died in 1999.2
She was educated at St. Leonard’s School, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.3 From 5 December 1936, her married name became Jones.1 From 3 July 1946, her married name became Cooke.
