     Iain Mark Roper-Caldbeck was born on 11 November 1937.¹ He is the son of Brigadier William Noel Roper-Caldbeck and Edith Anderson.² He married Jennifer May Johnson, daughter of Dr. Robert William Prideaux Johnson, on 19 September 1964.¹
     He was educated at Glenalmond College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He retired from the military in 1956, with the rank of officer, late of the Black Watch.¹ He graduated from East Scotland College of Agriculture, Scotland^G, with a Diploma of Agriculture.¹ He was with Edward Boustead & Company Ltd, rubber planters between 1960 and 1966.¹ He was with Barlow Boustead Estates Agency Sdn Berhad in 1966 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia^G.¹

     Dr. Robert William Prideaux Johnson lived at 8 Parkside, Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Jennifer May Johnson is the daughter of Dr. Robert William Prideaux Johnson.² She married Iain Mark Roper-Caldbeck, son of Brigadier William Noel Roper-Caldbeck and Edith Anderson, on 19 September 1964.¹
     Sussex issue.¹ Shoreham-by-Sea.¹ From 19 September 1964, her married name became Roper-Caldbeck.
