Francis William Marten, son of Vice-Admiral Sir Francis Arthur Marten, on 16 March 1940.¹ She died on 7 August 1964 at age 45.¹
     Her married name became Marten.

     Lt.-Col. Francis William Marten is the son of Vice-Admiral Sir Francis Arthur Marten.² He married Hon. Avice Irene Venables-Vernon, daughter of Francis Lawrance William Venables-Vernon, 9th Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton and Violet Miriam Nightingale Clay, on 16 March 1940.²
     He was with the Diplomatic Service.² He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)²

     Vice-Admiral Sir Francis Arthur Marten was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)² He lived at Whittington, Gloucestershire, England^G.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Jennifer Gay Marten was born on 17 July 1944. She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Francis William Marten and Hon. Avice Irene Venables-Vernon.

     Michael Francis Marten was born on 10 March 1947. He is the son of Lt.-Col. Francis William Marten and Hon. Avice Irene Venables-Vernon.¹ He married Lady Caroline St. Clair-Erskine, daughter of Anthony Hugh Francis Harry St. Clair-Erskine, 6th Earl of Rosslyn and Athenais Marie Madeleine Victurnienne de Rochechouart de Mortemart, in 1991.¹

     Hon. Fanny Lawrance Venables-Vernon was born on 8 July 1886.¹ She was the daughter of George William Henry Venables-Vernon, 7th Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton and Frances Margaret Lawrance.¹ She married, firstly, Maurice Raoul Duval on 15 June 1910.¹ She married, secondly, Lieutenant Jean de Kermaignant in 1918.¹
     From 15 June 1910, her married name became Duval.

     Maurice Raoul Duval married Hon. Fanny Lawrance Venables-Vernon, daughter of George William Henry Venables-Vernon, 7th Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton and Frances Margaret Lawrance, on 15 June 1910.¹ He died on 18 May 1916, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He lived at Château de Marolles, France.¹

     Lieutenant Jean de Kermaignant married Hon. Fanny Lawrance Venables-Vernon, daughter of George William Henry Venables-Vernon, 7th Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton and Frances Margaret Lawrance, in 1918.¹

     George Finch-Hatton was born in 1747.¹ He was the son of Hon. Edward Finch-Hatton and Anne Palmer.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth Mary Murray, daughter of David Murray, 2nd Earl of Mansfield and Henrietta Frederica von Bünau, on 10 December 1785.² He died on 17 February 1823.¹
