Margarethe von Habsburg was born illegitimately in 1522.1 She was the daughter of Karl V von Habsburg, Holy Roman Emperor and Johanna Maria van den Gheynst.1 She married, firstly, Alessandro de Medici, Duca di Firenze, son of Giulio de Medici, in 1536.1 She married, secondly, Ottavio Farnese, Duca di Parma, son of Pier Luigi Farnese, Duca di Parma, after 1537.1 She died in 1586.1
From after 1537, her married name became Farnese.1
