     He held the office of Alderman of London.¹ He was a merchant at London, England^G.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of London in 1577.¹ He also had three younger sons and three daughters.²

     Elizabeth Tillesworth was the daughter of William Tillesworth.² She married Francis Bowyer, son of Robert Bowyer and Margaret (?).¹ She died circa October 1606.² She was buried on 30 October 1606.²
     Her married name became Bowyer.

     Robert Bowyer is the son of Sir William Bowyer and Mary Pierson.¹

     Henry Bowyer was the son of Sir Henry Bowyer and Anne Salter.¹ He died, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.¹

     William Bowyer is the son of Sir William Bowyer, 2nd Bt. and Lady Frances Cecil.¹ He married Elizabeth Parker, daughter of Richard Parker and Sarah Chilcot.¹

     Elizabeth Parker is the daughter of Richard Parker and Sarah Chilcot.^1,2 She married William Bowyer, son of Sir William Bowyer, 2nd Bt. and Lady Frances Cecil.¹
     Her married name became Bowyer.¹

     William Bird lived at Drybridge House, Herefordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Charlotte Wells was the daughter of Captain William Wells and Lady Elizabeth Proby.¹ She married Reverend William Henry Wentworth Atkins-Bowyer, son of William Atkins-Bowyer and Frances Wentworth, on 18 April 1844.¹ She died on 3 May 1864.¹
     From 18 April 1844, her married name became Atkins-Bowyer.¹

     Christian Bishopp is the daughter of Sir Edward Bishopp, 2nd Bt. and Lady Mary Tufton. She married Sir Thomas Cobb, 1st Bt.
     Her married name became Cobb.

     John Scholefield is the son of Jock Scholefield.¹ He married Jennifer Ann Repard, daughter of Commander John David Latimer Repard and Hon. Peggy Bowyer, on 13 April 2002.¹
