He was given the name of Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal-Carill-Worsley at birth.3 On 11 December 1913 his name was legally changed to Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal.3 He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.1 In 1990 his name was legally changed to Nicolas Henry Joseph Tindal-Carill-Worsley by Royal Licence.3 He lived at Ballyloughan House, Bruckless, County Donegal, IrelandG.4
