William Murray Nairne, 5th Lord Nairne1

     William Murray Nairne, 5th Lord Nairne was born circa 1757.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Nairne and Brabazon Wheeler.2 He married Caroline Oliphant, daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 7th of Gask and Margaret Robertson, on 2 June 1806.3 He died on 9 July 1830.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Nairne [S., 1681] on 7 November 1782.3 He gained the rank of Major and Assistant Inspector of Barracks, Scotland.3 On 17 June 1824 he was restored to his Lordship by Act of Parliament, with retrospective rehabilitation of his predecessors.3

James Stuart Oliphant of Rossie1

     James Stuart Oliphant of Rossie was born in 1767.2 He was the son of Robert Oliphant and Marion Buchanan.2 He married Anna Reade, daughter of William Truman Reade, in 1809.2 He died in 1847.2
     He was Colonel of the Royal Perthshire Militia.2 He had four other sons and three other daughters.2
