Louth [I., 1616] on 10 March 1949.3 He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Meath [I., 1627] on 10 March 1949.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Chaworth of Eaton Hall, co. Hereford [U.K., 1831] on 10 March 1949.3

He gained the rank of Major-General in the 20th Hussars.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 In 1873 his name was legally changed to Frederick Chenevix Trench.1 He held the office of Military Attaché to St. Petersburg between 1883 and 1886.1
