     From 22 August 1843, her married name became Mellon.¹

     Ailsa Mellon was born on 28 June 1901 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Andrew William Mellon and Nora Mary McMullen.¹ She married David Kirkpatrick Este Bruce on 29 May 1926.¹ She and David Kirkpatrick Este Bruce were divorced on 20 April 1945.¹ She died on 25 August 1969 at age 68.¹
     From 1926, her married name became Bruce.¹

     Harvey Arthur Lee was born circa 1893 at England.¹ He married Nora Mary McMullen, daughter of Alexander P. McMullen, in 1923.¹ He and Nora Mary McMullen were divorced in 1928.¹
     He was an antiques dealer.¹

     David Kirkpatrick Este Bruce was born on 12 February 1898.¹ He married, firstly, Ailsa Mellon, daughter of Andrew William Mellon and Nora Mary McMullen, on 29 May 1926.¹ He and Ailsa Mellon were divorced on 20 April 1945.¹ He married, secondly, Evangeline Bell, daughter of Edward Bell and Bertha Etelka Surtees, on 23 April 1945.¹ He died on 5 December 1977 at age 79.¹
     He graduated from University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, U.S.A.^G, in 1920.¹ He wrote the book Seven pillars of the Republic, published 1936.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Office of Strategic Services.¹ He held the office of U.S. Ambassador to France between 1949 and 1952.¹ He held the office of U.S. Ambassador to West Germany between 1957 and 1959.¹ He held the office of U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom between 1961 and 1969.¹ He held the office of U.S. Emissary to the People’s Republic of China between 1973 and 1974.¹ He held the office of U.S. Ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation between 1975 and 1976.¹

     Audrey Bruce was the daughter of David Kirkpatrick Este Bruce and Ailsa Mellon.¹ She married Stephen Currier.¹ She died in 1967, killed in a plane crash in the Caribbean.¹
     Her married name became Currier.¹
