He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Brackley from 1628 to 1629.2 He was appointed Knight on 15 June 1636.2 He was created 1st Baronet Curzon [Nova Scotia] on 18 June 1636.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Derbyshire from 1638 to 1639.2 He was Receiver-General of the Duchy of Lancaster estates.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire between 1640 and 1648.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire between April 1640 and May 1640.2 He was created 1st Baronet Curzon, of Kedleston [England] on 11 August 1641.2 He was a Parliamentarian during the Civil War.2 He lived at Kedleston, Derbyshire, England.2
