     Brig.-Gen. George Haldane was baptised on 10 July 1722.¹ He was the son of Patrick Haldane, 16th of Gleneagles and Hon. Margaret Forrester.² He died on 26 July 1759 at age 37, unmarried.¹
     He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1743, where he was wounded.¹ He fought in the Battle of Dettingen in 1743.¹ He fought in the 1745 Uprising in 1745, against the Jacobites.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the 3rd Guards.¹ He fought in the Battle of Roucoux in 1747.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stirling Burghs between 1747 and 1758.¹ He fought in the Battle of Lauffeld on 2 July 1747.¹ He held the office of Captain-General of Jamaica in 1759.¹ He fought in the Capture of Guadeloupe in 1759.¹

     Margaret Haldane was the daughter of Patrick Haldane, 16th of Gleneagles and Hon. Margaret Forrester.² She married Hon. Charles Barclay-Maitland of Tillicoultrie, son of Charles Maitland, 6th Earl of Lauderdale and Lady Elizabeth Ogilvy, on 14 April 1765.¹ She died in 1768, without issue.¹
     From 14 April 1765, her married name became Barclay-Maitland.¹

     Eustace John William Spread was born at Florence, Italy^G.¹ He was the son of Henry George Fenton Spread and Louisa Amelia Castles.¹ He married Norah Hotblack, daughter of Herbert Arthur Hotblack, in 1916.¹ He died in 1968.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Norah Hotblack was the daughter of Herbert Arthur Hotblack.¹ She married Eustace John William Spread, son of Henry George Fenton Spread and Louisa Amelia Castles, in 1916.¹ She died on 12 October 1948 at Bexhill, Surrey, England^G.¹
     From 1916, her married name became Spread.¹

     Lily Spread was born in 1878 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Henry George Fenton Spread and Louisa Amelia Castles.¹ She died on 30 July 1941 at Haslemere, Surrey, England^G, unmarried.¹

     Sir William Oglander, 3rd Bt. was born in 1680.² He was the son of Sir John Oglander, 2nd Bt. and Mary Webb.^2,3 He married Elizabeth Strode, daughter of Sir John Strode and Anne Hewet.² He died in 1734.²
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Oglander, of Nunwell.

     Elizabeth Oglander was the daughter of Sir William Oglander, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Strode.^2,3 She married, firstly, Captain Robert Holmes before 1742.¹ She married, secondly, Robert Haldane, 1st of Airthrey and 17th of Gleneagles, son of John Haldane, 14th of Gleneagles and Helen Erskine, on 29 September 1742.¹ She died on 11 May 1779.¹
     From before 1742, her married name became Holmes.¹ From 29 September 1742, her married name became Haldane.¹

     Alice Spread was born in 1884 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Henry George Fenton Spread and Louisa Amelia Castles.¹ She died in 1969 at Haslemere, Surrey, England^G, unmarried.¹

     Reverend Rudoplh Alfred Richard Spread was born in 1885 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was the son of Henry George Fenton Spread and Louisa Amelia Castles.¹ He married Catherine Barbara Mary Seymour.¹ He died on 24 May 1945 at Guildford, Surrey, England^G.¹
     He was the Vicar at St. Michael’s, Southampton, Hampshire, England^G.¹
