     Sir Frederick Russell Hogg was born on 29 October 1836.² He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir James Weir Hogg, 1st Bt. and Mary Claudine Swinton.² He married, firstly, Emily Eckford, daughter of Lt.-Gen. James Eckford, on 31 October 1857.² He and Emily Eckford were divorced in 1873.² He married, secondly, Harriett Venn Dicken, daughter of William Stephens Dicken, on 12 August 1885.² He died in September 1923 at age 86.²
     He was with the Bengal Civil Service between 1856 and 1889.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)¹ He was Director-General of the Post Office [India] between 1882 and 1889.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.)¹

     Charles John Haldane Hogg was born on 9 July 1861.² He was the son of Sir Frederick Russell Hogg and Emily Eckford.^2,1 He married Anne Evelyn Haldane, daughter of Daniel Rutherford Haldane and Charlotte Elizabeth Lowthrop, on 16 December 1892.¹ He died on 14 October 1940 at age 79.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.² He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Artillery Militia.² He held the office of Postmaster-General [Upper Province India].²

     James Haldane was born on 26 April 1831.¹ He was the son of James Alexander Haldane and Margaret Rutherford.² He married Emily Grove, daughter of Captain Francis Grove, on 11 July 1860.¹ He died on 29 October 1906 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh High School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was registered as a Chartered Accountant (C.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was director of the Royal Bank of Scotland.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Grosvenor Crescent, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Captain Francis Grove gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Emily Grove was the daughter of Captain Francis Grove.² She married James Haldane, son of James Alexander Haldane and Margaret Rutherford, on 11 July 1860.¹ She died on 23 May 1907.¹
     From 11 July 1860, her married name became Haldane.

     Francis Grove Haldane was born on 30 November 1866.¹ He was the son of James Haldane and Emily Grove.² He married Gertrude Hilda Taylor, daughter of John Henry Taylor, on 12 June 1893.¹ He died on 7 February 1932 at age 65.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Edinburgh.¹

     John Henry Taylor lived at Ravensdean, Edgerton, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Gertrude Hilda Taylor was the daughter of John Henry Taylor.² She married Francis Grove Haldane, son of James Haldane and Emily Grove, on 12 June 1893.¹ She died on 14 October 1940.¹
     From 12 June 1893, her married name became Haldane.

     James Henry Haldane was born on 4 May 1895.¹ He was the son of Francis Grove Haldane and Gertrude Hilda Taylor.² He died on 6 June 1895.¹

     Francis Bernard Haldane was born on 28 February 1897.¹ He was the son of Francis Grove Haldane and Gertrude Hilda Taylor.² He died on 8 March 1897.¹
