Clackmannan [U.K., 1923] in 1946.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Younger, of Leckie, co. Clackmannan [U.K., 1911] in 1946.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Stirlingshire between 1947 and 1964.¹ He was director of George Younger and Son in 1963.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant (D.L.) of Stirlingshire in 1964.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. John Reginald Bryans was the son of Reverend Reginald du Faure Bryans.¹ He married Anne Margaret Gilmour, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir John Gilmour of Lundin and Montrave, 2nd Bt. and Mary Louise Lambert, on 23 June 1932.¹ He died in 1990.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹
