Barney Isaacs Barnato was born in 1852 at Aldgate, London, England.1 He was the son of Isaac Isaacs.1 He died on 14 June 1897, drowned not far from Madeira.1
He was given the name of Barnett Isaacs at birth.1 He was founder of Barnato Diamond Mining Company.1 He was governor of De Beers.1

Diana Barnato was born on 15 January 1918 at London, England.1 She was the daughter of Captain Wolf Barnato and Dorothy Maitland Falk.1 She married W/Cdr. Derek Walker in 1944.3 She died on 28 April 2008 at age 90.1
She gained the rank of Pilot in the Air Transport Auxiliary, during the Second World War.3 From 1944, her married name became Walker.3 She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1965.3 She wrote the book Spreading My Wings, published 1994.3
