Sir Walter Pringle, Lord Newhall was born circa 1664.3 He was the son of Sir Robert Pringle of Stichill, 1st Bt. and Margaret Hope.4 He married Helen Ayton.3 He married Katherine Johnston, daughter of unknown Johnston of Hilton, on 13 July 1701 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,3 He died on 14 December 1736.3
