     George Cholmondeley, Viscount Malpas was born on 17 October 1724 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of George Cholmondeley, 3rd Earl of Cholmondeley and Lady Mary Walpole.¹ He married Hester Edwardes, daughter of Sir Francis Edwardes, 4th Bt. and Hester Lacon, on 19 January 1746/47.¹ He died on 15 March 1764 at age 39, from inflammation of the bowels.¹ He was buried on 27 May 1764 at Malpas, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered on 10 April 1764.¹
     He was styled as Viscount Malpas between 1733 and 1770.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Bramber between 1754 and 1761.¹ He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy, as a volunteer.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 65th Regiment.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Corfe Castle between 1761 and 1764.¹

     Hester Edwardes was born circa 1728.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Francis Edwardes, 4th Bt. and Hester Lacon.^1,2 She married George Cholmondeley, Viscount Malpas, son of George Cholmondeley, 3rd Earl of Cholmondeley and Lady Mary Walpole, on 19 January 1746/47.¹ She died on 3 September 1794 at Hampton Court Palace, Kingston-upon-Thames, London, England^G.^3,4 She was buried on 14 September 1794 at Malpas, Cheshire, England^G.³
     Her married name became Cholmondeley.

     Sir Francis Edwardes, 4th Bt. was baptised on 17 April 1699 at Grantham, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Edwardes, 3rd Bt. He married, firstly, Anne Rocke, daughter of Thomas Rocke, before 1726.¹ He married, secondly, Hester Lacon, daughter of John Lacon and Jane Alport, on 10 June 1726 at Middle, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He died on 5 August 1734 at age 35, without male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Edwardes, of Shrewsbury, co. Shropshire [E., 1678] in October 1701.¹

     Hester Cholmondeley was the daughter of George Cholmondeley, Viscount Malpas and Hester Edwardes.¹ She married William Clapcote-Lisle on 6 September 1773.¹
     From 6 September 1773, her married name became Clapcote-Lisle.

     William Clapcote-Lisle married Hester Cholmondeley, daughter of George Cholmondeley, Viscount Malpas and Hester Edwardes, on 6 September 1773.¹
     He lived at Upway, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Marcia Mary Anne Clapcote-Lisle was born on 9 July 1774.² She was the daughter of William Clapcote-Lisle and Hester Cholmondeley.^1,3 She married Rt. Hon. Charles Arbuthnot, son of John Arbuthnot and Anne Stone, on 23 February 1799 at Cholmondeley House, Picadilly, London, England^G.^1,2 She died on 24 May 1806 at age 31 at Istanbul, Turkey^G.²
     Her married name became Arbuthnot.

     Rev. Hon. Robert Cholmondeley was born on 1 November 1727.³ He was the son of George Cholmondeley, 3rd Earl of Cholmondeley and Lady Mary Walpole.^3,4 He married Mary Woffington, daughter of John Woffington, on 30 November 1746.³ He died on 5 June 1804 at age 76.³
     He gained the rank of officer in the British Army.³ He was the Rector at St. Andrew’s, Hertford, Hertfordshire, England^G.³

     Mary Woffington was the daughter of John Woffington.¹ She married Rev. Hon. Robert Cholmondeley, son of George Cholmondeley, 3rd Earl of Cholmondeley and Lady Mary Walpole, on 30 November 1746.³ She died on 4 April 1811.³
     Her married name became Cholmondeley.

     John Woffington was a journeyman bricklayer at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
