     Emily Margaret Shirley was born on 3 November 1957.¹ She is the daughter of Major John Evelyn Shirley and Judith Margaret Dugdale.² She married Robert John Sylvester Grimston, 3rd Baron Grimston of Westbury, son of Robert Walter Sigismund Grimston, 2nd Baron Grimston of Westbury and Hon. June Mary Ponsonby, in 1984.¹
     From 1984, her married name became Grimston. She lived in 2003 at Elm Farm, Sibford Ferris, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ After her marriage, Emily Margaret Shirley was styled as Baroness Grimston of Westbury on 16 July 2003.

     Robert Walter Sigismund Grimston, 2nd Baron Grimston of Westbury was born on 14 June 1925.² He was the son of Robert Villiers Grimston, 1st Baron Grimston of Westbury and Sybil Rose Neumann.² He married Hon. June Mary Ponsonby, daughter of Hubert William Ponsonby, 5th Baron de Mauley of Canford and Elgiva Margaret Dundas, on 21 June 1949.² He died on 16 June 2003 at age 78.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G, Eton.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.² He fought in the Second World War.² He was a director of Hinton Hill and Coles between 1962 and 1983.² He was chairman of Grays Inn (Underwriting Agency) Ltd between 1970 and 1988.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Grimston, of Westbury, co. June Mary Ponsonby.² He married Emily Margaret Shirley, daughter of Major John Evelyn Shirley and Judith Margaret Dugdale, in 1984.¹

     Mary Louisa Phyllis Shirley was born in 1931.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Evelyn Charles Shirley and Kathleen Mary Phyllis Cardew.²

     Emily Phyllis Shirley is the daughter of Sewallis Evelyn Shirley and Emily Jean Macdonald.² She married Captain Wilfrid Herbert Cecil Brownlow, son of Colonel Cecil Barry Brownlow, on 3 June 1916.¹
     From 3 June 1916, her married name became Brownlow.

     Colonel Cecil Barry Brownlow gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.¹

     Captain Wilfrid Herbert Cecil Brownlow was the son of Colonel Cecil Barry Brownlow.² He married Emily Phyllis Shirley, daughter of Sewallis Evelyn Shirley and Emily Jean Macdonald, on 3 June 1916.¹ He died on 28 May 1918, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Northumberland Fusiliers.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He lived at Forest Row, Sussex, England^G.¹
