     He lived at Jamaica^G.¹ He matriculated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, in 1720.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1733.¹ He held the office of Member of the Council [Jamaica] in 1742.¹ He lived in 1748 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ His last will was dated 16 September 1748.

     Margaret Foster is the daughter of unknown Foster.¹ She married Colin Campbell, son of Colonel John Campbell and Katherine Claiborne.¹
     Her married name became Campbell.¹

     Thomas Foster was the son of unknown Foster.¹ He died after 1752.¹

     John Campbell was born after 1732.¹ He was the son of Colin Campbell and Margaret Foster.¹

     Elizabeth Campbell is the daughter of Colin Campbell and Margaret Foster.¹

     Margaret Jane Campbell was born on 28 January 1757.¹ She is the daughter of Colin Campbell and Margaret Foster.¹ She married Sir James Hay of Park, 5th Bt., son of William Hay and Mary Cant, on 27 October 1792 at St. Marylebone, London, England.^2,1 She died in April 1837 at age 80 at Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.¹
     From 27 October 1792, her married name became Hay. She lived at Jamaica^G.²

     Charlotte Niven Doig Hutcheson was the daughter of Hugh Hutcheson.¹ She married Sir Thomas Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 8th Bt., son of Sir James Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 6th Bt. and Janet Cuming, in 1832.¹ She died on 25 June 1902.¹
     From 1832, her married name became Montgomery-Cuninghame.¹

     Hugh Hutcheson lived at Southfield, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹
