     Major Frederick Marcus Oliphant was born on 10 March 1885.¹ He was the son of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford.¹ He married Maud D’Oyly Hammersley, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alfred St. George Hammersley, in 1923.¹ He and Maud D’Oyly Hammersley were divorced in 1940.¹
     He was educated at St. Lawrence College, Ramsgate, Kent, England^G.² He was educated at St. John’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.² He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.² He gained the rank of Major in the Seaforth Highlanders.² He was Assistant Director of the Forest Products Research Laboratory (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research) at Prince’s Risborough, Buckinghamshire, England^G.² He was Forest Economist to the Colonial Office.²

     Dilys Elizabeth Oliphant was born on 24 January 1936.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Donald Aden Oliphant and Jocelyn Hope Young.¹ She died on 19 June 2005 at age 69.²
     She lived in 2003 at Flat 2, 101 Greencroft Gardens, London, England^G.³

     Reverend Kenneth Percival Oliphant was born on 17 December 1892.¹ He was the son of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford.¹ He married Ruth Margaret Rogers, daughter of Charles Bradford Rogers, on 15 May 1930.¹ He died on 30 September 1959 at age 66.¹
     He was educated at St. Lawrence College, Ramsgate, Kent, England^G.² He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)³ He was the Curate in 1916 at St. Margaret’s, Brighton, Sussex, England^G.³ He was the Curate between 1917 and 1921 at All Saints, Crowborough, Sussex, England^G.² He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1918 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was the Curate between 1926 and 1927 at Emmanuel Church, Wimbledon, London, England^G.²

     Ruth Margaret Rogers is the daughter of Charles Bradford Rogers.¹ She married Reverend Kenneth Percival Oliphant, son of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford, on 15 May 1930.¹
     From 15 May 1930, her married name became Oliphant.¹

     Charles Bradford Rogers lived at Ritter Street, Woolwich Common, London, England^G.²

     Dorothy Constance Oliphant was born on 13 August 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford.¹ She married Major William Mainwaring-Burton, son of William Fitzwilliam Burton and Georgina Spencer Wellesley, on 2 June 1912.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 2 July 1912.² She died on 24 March 1964 at age 76.¹
     From 2 June 1912, her married name became Mainwaring-Burton.¹
