     He was given the name of William Burton at birth.¹ He fought in the First World War, with Royal Engineers.¹ He was registered as a Member, Institute of Civil Engineers (M.Inst.C.E.)⁵ In October 1944 assumed prefix surname of MAINWARING by Deed PollIO.¹ In October 1944 his name was legally changed to William Mainwaring-Burton by Deed Poll.¹ He lived at Marsham Lodge, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Redlynch, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Wilma Anderson married Jonathan Patrick Lindesay-Bethune, son of Hon. John Martin Lindesay-Bethune and Enriqueta Mary Jeanne Koch de Gooreynd, in 1996.¹
     From 1996, her married name became Lindesay-Bethune.¹

     Rose Ann Morgan Templeton was the daughter of Robert Bryson Templeton.² She married Captain Frederick Henry Beresford Mainwaring-Burton, son of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant, on 12 July 1950.¹ She died on 28 January 2012.³
     From 12 July 1950, her married name became Mainwaring-Burton.¹

     Arthur William Mainwaring-Burton was born on 2 March 1914.² He was the son of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.¹ He married Rachel Constance Ryalls Burnett, daughter of Frank Ridley Burnett, on 14 April 1943.² He died on 30 April 1994 at age 80 at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England.³

     Georgiana Elizabeth Mainwaring-Burton was born on 6 October 1917.¹ She is the daughter of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.² She married Anthony Wray Eller, son of Ronald Charles Eller, on 7 September 1946.¹
     She was also known as Elizabeth Georgiana Mainwaring-Burton.³ She gained the rank of Junior Commander in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (FANY), during the Second World War.¹ From 7 September 1946, her married name became Eller.¹

     Major Anthony Benjamin Mainwaring-Burton was born on 8 July 1921.² He was the son of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.² He married Edwina Bridgit Crabbe, daughter of Colonel Sir John Gordon Crabbe, on 21 January 1950.² He died on 22 December 1996 at age 75.³

     From 21 January 1950, her married name became Mainwaring-Burton.¹

     Allison Anne Mainwaring-Burton was born on 19 August 1928.¹ She was the daughter of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.¹ She died on 4 November 1932 at age 4.¹

     Lieutenant Marcus Oliphant was the son of Reverend Francis George Oliphant and Elizabeth Beresford.¹ He died in 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey^G, killed in action.¹
