     James FitzWalter Clifford-Butler, 15th/25th Baron Dunboyne was born on 20 May 1839.¹ He was the son of Theobald FitzWalter Butler, 14th/24th Baron Dunboyne and Julia Celestina Maria Brander.¹ He married Marion Clifford, daughter of Colonel Henry Morgan Clifford, on 12 June 1860.¹ He died on 17 August 1899 at age 60.¹
     He was given the name of James FitzWalter Butler at birth.¹ On 13 November 1860 his name was legally changed to James FitzWalter Clifford-Butler by Royal Licence. He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Monmouth Rifle Volunteers.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Monmouthshire.¹ He succeeded as the 25th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] on 22 March 1881.¹ He succeeded as the 15th Baron Dunboyne, co. Meath [I., 1541] on 22 March 1881.¹ He lived at Knoppogue Castle, Quin, County Clare, Ireland^G.¹

     Marion Clifford was the daughter of Colonel Henry Morgan Clifford.¹ She married James FitzWalter Clifford-Butler, 15th/25th Baron Dunboyne, son of Theobald FitzWalter Butler, 14th/24th Baron Dunboyne and Julia Celestina Maria Brander, on 12 June 1860.¹ She died on 15 June 1919.¹
     From 12 June 1860, her married name became Butler. From 13 November 1860, her married name became Clifford-Butler.¹ After her marriage, Marion Clifford was styled as Baroness Dunboyne on 22 March 1881.

     Hon. Rosalinda Catherine Sophia Clifford-Butler was born on 25 April 1861.¹ She was the daughter of James FitzWalter Clifford-Butler, 15th/25th Baron Dunboyne and Marion Clifford.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. William Henry Brooke Peters on 30 April 1883.¹ She died on 21 April 1953 at age 91.¹
     From 30 April 1883, her married name became Peters.

     Maj.-Gen. William Henry Brooke Peters married Hon. Rosalinda Catherine Sophia Clifford-Butler, daughter of James FitzWalter Clifford-Butler, 15th/25th Baron Dunboyne and Marion Clifford, on 30 April 1883.¹ He died on 27 October 1913.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the 4th Hussars.¹ He lived at Harefield, Devon, England^G.¹

     Hon. Theobald FitzWalter Butler was born on 19 July 1840.¹ He was the son of Theobald FitzWalter Butler, 14th/24th Baron Dunboyne and Julia Celestina Maria Brander.¹ He died on 19 November 1877 at age 37, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Clare Militia.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Robert St. John FitzWalter Butler, 16th/26th Baron Dunboyne was born on 20 January 1844.¹ He was the son of Theobald FitzWalter Butler, 14th/24th Baron Dunboyne and Julia Celestina Maria Brander.¹ He married Caroline Maude Blanche Probyn, daughter of Captain George Probyn, on 9 February 1869.¹ He died on 29 August 1913 at age 69.²
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Master of the Court of Judicature.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] in 1874.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Clare.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Clare.¹ He lived at Knoppogue Castle, Quin, County Clare, Ireland^G.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Baron Dunboyne, co. Meath [I., 1541] on 17 August 1899.¹ He succeeded as the 26th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] on 17 August 1899.¹ He held the office of King’s Remembrancer before 1905.¹

     Caroline Maude Blanche Probyn was the daughter of Captain George Probyn.¹ She married Robert St. John FitzWalter Butler, 16th/26th Baron Dunboyne, son of Theobald FitzWalter Butler, 14th/24th Baron Dunboyne and Julia Celestina Maria Brander, on 9 February 1869.¹ She died on 11 January 1927.¹
     From 9 February 1869, her married name became Butler.¹ After her marriage, Caroline Maude Blanche Probyn was styled as Baroness Dunboyne on 17 August 1899.

     FitzWalter George Probyn Butler, 17th/27th Baron Dunboyne was born on 20 March 1874.² He was the son of Robert St. John FitzWalter Butler, 16th/26th Baron Dunboyne and Caroline Maude Blanche Probyn.¹ He married Isolde Butler Tower, daughter of Francis Fitzpatrick Tower and Laura Butler, on 26 July 1915.² He died on 9 May 1945 at age 71.²
     He fought in the Vitu Expedition in 1890.² He succeeded as the 17th Baron Dunboyne, co. Meath [I., 1541] on 29 August 1913.² He succeeded as the 27th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] on 29 August 1913.¹ He fought in the First World War in 1914.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.²

     Brig.-Gen. Hon. Leslie James Probyn Butler was born on 22 April 1876.¹ He was the son of Robert St. John FitzWalter Butler, 16th/26th Baron Dunboyne and Caroline Maude Blanche Probyn.¹ He married Mary Christal Heathcoat-Amory, daughter of Sir John Heathcoat-Amory, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Mary Unwin, on 24 July 1907.¹ He died on 31 December 1955 at age 79.²
     He fought in the Boer War in 1900.¹ He fought in the First World War in 1914, where he was mentioned in despatches six times.¹ He was Colonel of the 2nd Battalion, Irish Guards in 1916.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1922.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon in 1930.¹
