     Mary Archdall was born on 11 October 1764.1 She was the daughter of Colonel Mervyn Archdall and Hon. Mary Dawson.1 She married Rt. Hon. Sir John Stewart, 1st Bt., son of Reverend Hugh Stewart and Sarah Hamilton, on 4 June 1789.1 She died on 28 May 1795 at age 30.1
     From 4 June 1789, her married name became Stewart.1

Rt. Hon. Sir John Stewart, 1st Bt.1

     Rt. Hon. Sir John Stewart, 1st Bt. was born in 1757.2 He was the son of Reverend Hugh Stewart and Sarah Hamilton.3,4 He married Mary Archdall, daughter of Colonel Mervyn Archdall and Hon. Mary Dawson, on 4 June 1789.1 He died on 22 June 1825.1
     He held the office of Attorney-General [Ireland] in 1799, where he drafted the Act of Union.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tyrone between 1802 and 1806.4 He was created 1st Baronet Stewart, of Athenree, co. Tyrone [U.K.] on 21 June 1803.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tyrone between 1812 and 1825.4 He lived at Athenree, County Tyrone, IrelandG.1
