     Lt.-Col. John Wilmot Harley Lyon was born in 1866 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England^G.² He was the son of John Lyon and Eliza Harvey.² He married Constance Mary (?)² He died on 13 February 1947 at 1 Clifton Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, England^G.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1896 in the 25th Regiment of Madras Infantry.² He lived at Rose Cottage, Simla, India^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.¹

     Michael Mervyn Lyon Archdale was born on 6 March 1921.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Fulbert Audley Archdale and Muriel Kathleen Lyon.¹ He died on 25 June 1944 at age 23 at Normandy, France^G, missing in action.^1,2
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Ulster Rifles and the 6th Airborne Division.²

     Patrick John Audley Archdale was born on 10 October 1923.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Fulbert Audley Archdale and Muriel Kathleen Lyon.¹ He died on 26 December 1979 at age 56, unmarried.²
