     Captain Audley Mervyn Archdale was born on 9 June 1825.¹ He was the son of Edward Archdall and Matilda Humphrys.¹ He married Sybilla Mary Miles, daughter of Philip John Miles and Clarissa Peach, on 2 May 1854.¹ He died on 27 February 1893 at age 67.¹
     He was commissioned in 1844.¹ He retired from the military in 1855, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Artillery.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Underdown, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     Edward Peach William Miles was born in 1829.¹ He was the son of Philip John Miles and Clarissa Peach.¹ He was baptised on 3 January 1834 at Holy Trinity, Abbots Leigh, Somerset, England.² He married Olivia Caroline Cave, daughter of William Cave and Mary Ann Brooke, on 20 June 1854 at Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, England.¹

     Olivia Caroline Cave was born in 1834.² She was the daughter of William Cave and Mary Ann Brooke.^1,2 She married Edward Peach William Miles, son of Philip John Miles and Clarissa Peach, on 20 June 1854 at Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, England.¹ She died in 1870.²
     From 20 June 1854, her married name became Miles.¹
