     Sir Henry James Seton-Steuart of Allanton and Touch, 3rd Bt. was born on 5 November 1812.1 He was the son of Sir Reginald Ranald Seton-Steuart of Staffa and 2nd of Ulva, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Margaret Steuart.2 He married Elizabeth Montgomery, daughter of Robert Montgomery and Elizabeth Mason, on 2 December 1852.2 He died on 6 December 1884 at age 72, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Steuart, of Allanton, co. Lanarks in 1838.2 He was Hereditary Armour Bearer and Squire of the Royal Body of Scotland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Sir Alexander de Seton was the son of Sir Christopher Seaton and Lady Christina Bruce.2 He married Christian le Cheyne.1 He died circa 1348, without surviving male issue.1
     He had numerous grants of land, including the terrorial Baronies of Seton and Winchburgh.1 He held the office of Governor of Berwick between 1328 and 1333.1
