Arundel Cotter was born on 24 July 1912.1 He was the son of Major Arundel John Plunkett Cotter and Emma Stothard Carter.2 He married, firstly, Madelyn Mitchell, daughter of Forest Mitchell, on 2 January 1942.1 He and Madelyn Mitchell were divorced in 1952.1 He married, secondly, Gabrielle Pauline Tarter, daughter of Harry Tarter.1 He died in November 1973 at age 61 at New York, U.S.A.3
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the U.S. Army.1
