     Dorothea Alexander was born in 1831 at County Londonderry, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Alexander and Dorothea McClintock.1 She married Lt.-Col. Henry Keown, son of Richard Keown and Mary Boyd, on 10 January 1856 at Aghadowey Parish Church, County Londonderry, Ireland.1,2 She died on 4 April 1884 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, Ireland.2
     From 10 January 1856, her married name became Keown.1

Lt.-Col. Henry Keown1

     Lt.-Col. Henry Keown was born on 17 March 1817 at Downpatrick, County Down, Ireland.2 He was the son of Richard Keown and Mary Boyd.2 He married Dorothea Alexander, daughter of Reverend Robert Alexander and Dorothea McClintock, on 10 January 1856 at Aghadowey Parish Church, County Londonderry, Ireland.1,2 He died on 13 January 1872 at age 54 at Ballyness House, Downpatrick, County Londonderry, Ireland.2
     He lived at Knockbracen, County Down, IrelandG.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Irish Rifles.1
