(Conservative) for Harwich between 1954 and 1982.2 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Air between 1962 and 1964.2 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence, Royal Air Force in 1964.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1977.2 He was appointed Knight in 1981.2
