     Lord Mark Fitzalan-Howard was born on 28 March 1934.² He is the son of Bernard Edward Fitzalan-Howard, 3rd Baron Howard of Glossop and Mona Josephine Tempest Stapleton, Baroness Beaumont.² He married Jacynth Rosemary Lindsay, daughter of Sir Martin Alexander Lindsay of Dowhill, 1st Bt. and Joyce Emily Lindsay, on 17 November 1961.¹
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.² He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.² He was director of Robert Fleming Holdings Ltd between 1971 and 1994.² He was director of National Mutual Life Assurance Society between 1972 and 1999.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Sir Martin Alexander Lindsay of Dowhill, 1st Bt. was born on 22 August 1905.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Alexander Bertram Lindsay and Gladys Hutton.^1,2 He married, firstly, Joyce Emily Lindsay, daughter of Major Hon. Robert Hamilton Lindsay and Mary Janet Clarke, on 15 December 1932.¹ He and Joyce Emily Lindsay were divorced in 1967.¹ He married, secondly, Hon. Loelia Mary Ponsonby, daughter of Frederick Edward Grey Ponsonby, 1st Baron Sysonby and Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard, on 1 August 1969.² He died on 5 May 1981 at age 75 at The Old Vicarage, Send, Woking, Surrey, England.^2,3
