He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Victoria College, Jersey, Channel IslandsG.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Codrington, of Dodington, co. Gloucester [G.B, 1721] on 7 November 1932.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1

He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1916.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.2 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.2 He was created 1st Baronet Reynolds, of Woolton, co. Lancaster [U.K.] on 6 March 1923.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1927.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for Liverpool Exchange between 1929 and 1932.1
