Lt.-Col. Sir William Robert Codrington, 6th Bt.1 
He fought in the North-West Frontier between 1897 and 1898.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Codrington, of Dodington, co. Gloucester [G.B, 1721] on 1 March 1904.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet Major in the 11th Hussars.1
