Sir Henry Thoby Prinsep was born in 1792.3 He was the son of John Prinsep and Sophia Elizabeth Auriol.1 He married Sarah Monckton Pattle, daughter of James Pattle and Adeline Maria de l‘Etang.1 He died in 1878.1
He was with the Bengal Civil Service.1 He had his portrait photographed by Julia Margaret Pattle in 1866.2
