John Henry Hambro was born on 7 July 1904.1 He was the son of Henry Charles Thomas Hambro and Edith Gertrude Bonsor.3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Theresa de Knoop, daughter of Captain Jersey J. J. de Knoop and Evelyn Elizabeth Fletcher, on 23 April 1930.1 He and Elizabeth Theresa de Knoop were divorced in 1947.1 He married, secondly, Linnet Pamela Millicent Lafone, daughter of Major Edgar Mortimer Lafone, on 30 April 1947.1 He died in 1965.1
John Henry Hambro also went by the nick-name of Jack.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was managing director UK Commercial Corporation between 1940 and 1945.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1944.1 He was a director of John Dickinson & Company.1 He was chairman of Hambros bank between 1963 and 1965.1 He lived at The Hyde, Luton, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1
