Sir William Wyndham, 1st Bt.1 
Sir William Wyndham, 1st Bt. was born circa 1633.3 He was the son of Sir John Wyndham and Catherine Hopton.3 He married Frances Hungerford, daughter of Anthony Hungerford, circa 21 April 1656.3 He died on 29 October 1683.3
He was educated Lincoln’s Inn.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Somerset between 1656 and 1658.4 He was created 1st Baronet Wyndham [England] on 28 August 1658, created by Oliver Cromwell.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Taunton from 1660 to 1679.4 He was appointed Knight from April 1660 to April 1661.4 His parliamentary baronetcy was revoked after the restoration.4 He was created 1st Baronet Wyndham, of Orchard Windham, co. Somerset [England] on 9 December 1661.3
