Cholmeley Charles William Dering was born on 1 May 1785.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Dering, 7th Bt. and Anne Hale.1 He married, firstly, Charlotte Bucknall Hale, daughter of William Hale and Hon. Mary Grimston, on 27 July 1809.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Mary Yea, daughter of Sir William Walter Yea, 2nd Bt., on 30 July 1846.1 He died on 6 February 1858 at age 72.3
He lived at Ayot St. Lawrence, Hertfordshire, England.1
