Philip James Stanhope, 1st Baron and last Weardale of Stanhope1 
He was commissioned in 1861 with the rank of Naval Cadet, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He retired from the military in 1866, with the rank of Midshipman.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Wednesday between 1886 and 1892.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Burnley between 1893 and 1900.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire, Harborough Division between 1904 and 1905.2 He was president of the Inter-Parliament Union in 1906.2 He was created 1st Baron Weardale of Stanhope, co. Durham [U.K.] on 10 January 1906.1

He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leominster in 1868.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kent.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Suffolk between 1870 and 1875.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Stanhope of Elvaston, co. Derby [G.B., 1717] on 24 December 1875.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Stanhope of Mahon, in the island of Minorca [G.B., 1717] on 24 December 1875.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl Stanhope [G.B., 1718] on 24 December 1875.1

Sir Dominick Justin Daly was born on 11 August 1798 at Ardfry, County Galway, IrelandG.2 He was the son of Dominick Daly and Joanna Harriet Blake.3 He married Caroline Maria Gore, daughter of Colonel Ralph Gore, on 20 May 1826.3 He died on 19 February 1868 at age 69 at Adelaide, South Australia, AustraliaG.2
He was educated at Roman Catholic St. Mary’s College, Oscott, Warwickshire, EnglandG.3 He was Secretary to the Province of Lower Canada between 1841 and 1848.2 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Tobago in 1852.2 He held the office of Governor of Prince Edward Island between 1854 and 1859.2 He was appointed Knight in 1857.1 He held the office of Governor of South Australia between 1861 and 1868.2
